How to Request

Reservations may not be placed on laptops or hotspots to ensure equitable access. All other equipment (camcorders, tripods, projectors, etc.) may be requested by faculty and staff. To request equipment please visit the Faculty/Staff Equipment page. Faculty and staff may also call a library location to request equipment or walk in to a library location to check out equipment.

Each semester the library will determine when equipment checkout will start. Equipment will become available on the same date for students, faculty and staff.

One employee may check out multiple devices if needed for a specific event. There is no guarantee that the Library will have devices available for checkout and they cannot be placed on hold for the event. Equipment for events will not be semester checkout. Devices are expected to be returned two business days after the event has concluded.

In the event an item is not returned within the agreed upon loan period, Central Piedmont Library will do the following:

  1. Email overdue notices to borrower
  2. Special email to all staff who have outstanding items
